Elections

The next municipal election will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026 (Voting Day). At its Regular Meeting held on November 3, 2025, Town of Kingsville Council voted unanimously in favour of a traditional in-person election with paper ballots, supported by the use of optical scan vote tabulators. Read the Staff Report here. 

On Voting Day, Kingsville Voters will elect the following offices:

  • One (1) Mayor 
  • One (1) Deputy Mayor
  • Five (5) Councillors (at-large)
  • School Board Trustee

Election planning is currently underway and information will be shared with the public here when it becomes available.

Voters List

New for the 2026 Municipal Election, Elections Ontario is now responsible for maintaining the Voters List for municipal elections. Click the button below to check, update or add your name and/or home address to the Voters List. You can also remove yourself or a deceased person from the Voters List. 

School Support 

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) remains responsible for collecting information about a voter's school support. To confirm or change your school support, click the button below.

 

Potential Candidates

To become a candidate for Mayor, Councillor or School Board Trustee, you must file your nomination forms with the Clerk beginning on Friday, May 1, 2026 and may continue to file on any business day thereafter, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm until Nomination Day (Friday, August 21, 2026). On Nomination Day, nomination forms may be submitted between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.

The campaign period begins as soon as a candidate has filed nomination forms with the Clerk.
