We expect campers to follow our behaviour guidelines to create a safe space for other campers, volunteers, and staff. Our staff will be positive role models and understand the age and stage of the camper when addressing behaviour.
Behaviour Guidelines
- We are kind to ourselves and those around us
- We are honest in our interactions
- We are responsible for our actions
- We never leave the camp without permission
- We never steal or damage property intentionally
- We refrain from using profanity, being vulgar, or obscene
If your camper is unable to adhere to the behaviour guidelines, our staff will:
- Redirect the camper to more appropriate behaviour and remind them of the behaviour guidelines. If behaviour persists:
- Notify the caregiver to discuss strategies to support the camper. If the behaviour persists:
- Schedule a meeting that includes the caregiver, staff, and Manager to determine the next steps, up to and including suspending the child from the program until the caregiver can provide additional support for their child
If at any time a child's behaviour poses an immediate safety threat to themselves, other children, or staff, we will promptly contact the parent or caregiver to pick up the child immediately.
Campers must also be:
- Fully potty trained
- Able to self-regulate their emotions and behaviour with minimal support
If your child needs more support than our staff are trained to provide, we will contact you to determine if they can continue at camp. If we remove your child from camp, you will receive a reimbursement for the camp days they do not attend.
